What is an elective 3D/4D ultrasound?
An elective 3D/4D ultrasound is a non-medical keepsake session that lets parents see their baby in three dimensions (3D still images) and in real-time motion (4D). At Silhouette Dimensions it takes place in a private viewing suite in Alpharetta, Georgia, with family welcome.
Where is Silhouette Dimensions located?
Silhouette Dimensions is at 5755 North Point Pkwy, Suite 79 Office, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022, in the North Point area. It is a short drive from Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Cumming, Duluth and Suwanee.
When is the best time for a 3D/4D ultrasound?
Between 24 and 32 weeks is the best time for a 3D/4D ultrasound, when baby has filled out but still has room to move. Heartbeat visits fit 6 to 13 weeks, and gender reveal scans are offered from 14 weeks.
Does a keepsake ultrasound replace my doctor's ultrasounds?
No. Sessions at Silhouette Dimensions are elective and non-diagnostic. They are a keepsake experience alongside your prenatal care, never a replacement for it, and the team does not give medical advice. Please keep every appointment with your provider and bring health questions to them.
How should I prepare for my session?
Drink plenty of water for a few days before your visit, which helps give clearer images. Have a light snack about an hour before so baby is awake and active, and wear a comfortable two-piece outfit.
Who can come with me?
Anyone you like, within the room's seating. Partners, grandparents, best friends and big siblings are all welcome. Children should be supervised by another adult during the scan.
What if baby won't show their face?
It happens. The team tries gentle tricks like a short walk or a change of position. If there is still no clear view, the Shy Baby Promise brings you back for a free rescan within two weeks.
How do I get my images and video?
Your digital gallery is sent to your phone during or right after your session. Printed images go home with you in a keepsake folder.
What are your hours?
Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 12pm to 4pm (Eastern). The studio is closed on Mondays.
How much does a session cost?

How do I book?
Book online at silhouettedimensions.com/book, or open the chat on any page and the assistant can book a time for you. The studio does not take phone bookings.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, in any amount. Gift cards can be emailed straight to the parents-to-be or wrapped for pickup at the studio. Request one at silhouettedimensions.com/gift-cards.
